Thomas Waltermire

Chairman of the Board

Mr. Waltermire is Chief Executive Officer of Team Northeast Ohio (Team NEO), a regional private-sector-led economic development organization. Previously, Mr. Waltermire was Chairman and CEO of PolyOne Corporation, an international polymer company. He has also served in executive positions with BF Goodrich and Geon Corp. Tom led Geon in its initial public offering and served as its Chairman & CEO. Mr. Waltermire’s education includes a B.S. in Biological Sciences from The Ohio State University and an MBA from Harvard University. Among his various Boards, Mr. Waltermire is a member of the Governor’s Third Frontier Advisory Board and Board Member of Musical Arts Association (The Cleveland Orchestra).


Felix Brueck

Board Member

Mr. Brueck is a Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company in the Cleveland office. He began his McKinsey career in 1983 and also spent time in their German and Tokyo offices. Mr. Brueck led McKinsey’s Manufacturing Practice in the Americas, building up their lean manufacturing capability. He has also led the Organizational Effectiveness Practice for McKinsey in the Americas. In his client work Mr. Brueck spans industries from hi-tech to chemicals, semiconductors, solar power, pharmaceuticals & medical products as well as healthcare. Most of his projects are fundamental transformation efforts that often combine sophisticated technical change with deep shifts in mindsets and behaviors. In some cases, these transformations span entire corporations while in other cases they are focused on individual business units or certain functions like R&D, manufacturing or sales and marketing. Mr. Brueck is a Trustee of the Manufacturing Advocacy and Growth Network (MAGNET), a regional nonprofit that has as its mission to strengthen the regional economy. He is also on the Board of That Can Be Me, a non-profit created to enable lifelong learning. Mr. Brueck holds a Masters of Mechanical Engineering from the RWTH Aachen in Germany and a Masters of International Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management. He has co-authored the books Simplicity Wins and Quality Pays.


Jim Garrett


Mr. Garrett has served in various financial, operating and engineering management roles with energy and technology companies for 25 years. These have included executive officer roles with technology start-ups to Fortune 200 companies. He has worked with Marathon Oil Company, Consolidated Natural Gas (Dominion), American Gas Association and Energy West.; Mr. Garrett has raised substantial capital from equity centers throughout the world and has completed numerous public equity offerings. Professional credentials include Certified Financial Planner and Registered Professional Engineer. Mr. Garrett has a B.S. Engineering and MBA, both from Case Western Reserve University. Mr. Garrett presently serves as a Board/Advisor of IQ Ware (software) and Lake County Alcohol/Mental Health Services.


Bill Ullom

CTO & Founder

Mr. Ullom is founder and owner of Vadose Environmental Consultants, Inc. Prior to the founding of Vadose Environmental, Mr. Ullom served as President of LOMAK Petroleum (Southwest), Inc., and served as Vice President of Exploration & Development, LOMAK Petroleum, Inc. Previously, he served as Manager of Frontier Exploration and Manager, Gulf Coast Division of Placid Oil Company, directing exploration of its domestic deep water assets and foreign concessions under direction of the Hunt family after serving Hunt Energy Corporation and the William Herbert Hunt Trust Estate. Mr. Ullom is a member of Adjunct Faculty at Stark State College of Technology in the Environmental Technology Program. Mr. Ullom’s education includes geochemistry and geology and a B.S. Geology from Indiana University.
